Now that fall is upon us, it’s time to put away the bikinis and sundresses and refresh our sweater drawer and shoe closet. Out go the sandals, in come the boots. I’m not complaining 😉
Without a doubt “Autumn” is my favourite time of year fashion wise. This blog post includes examples of my Autumn style inspiration. I love layering up heavy with light pieces for this season, especially early fall.
Today I put together a vintage ivory coat with a detailed patterned skirt, matched with a knitwear cropped jumper, finishing with brown leather ankle boots. I’m a big fan of high-waisted skirts as it is so easy to mix and match. To achieve this casual chic look is simple – my advice would be to invest in a good winter coat, it is the first thing you look at when it comes to the overall outfit. Oasis have some really nice ones at the moment so if you are walking by or have time to browse be sure to check it out.
Another little fun fact, the tree that is pictured behind me is 14 years old. When we moved in to our new house, my parents came up with a really cute concept of giving us all our own tree to name and look after. Myself and my other five simblings were so excited about it but the novelty soon wore off. Today I can not get over how much they have grown (feeling extremely old talking about this). I thought it was a sweet idea and I hope to do the same thing with my kids one day.
On that note, readers take full advantage of this Autumn weather to experiment and try out different looks with warm shades. Happy shopping ladies. Hope you enjoy my first Autumn look 🙂
